Cycling routes in Salou

Salou is the perfect place to enjoy fantastic routes with the landscape as the main feature. At Num Hotel we can offer advice on the best cycling routes in the area. Here are three proposals so you can start planning your trip:

Salou – Ebro Delta

This area is especially rich in terms of aquatic life, with a total of 66 km. (41 miles) of road alongside the Mediterranean coast which finishes in the Ebro Delta.

41 miles. Cumulative elevation gain: 984 ft. Total time: 2.5 hours.


Salou – Priorat

This route will take you to the Prades Mountains, a mountain landscape with stunning views with two mountain passes: the one from Coll d’Alforja to Poboleda and the one from Porrera to Riudecols.

59 miles. Cumulative elevation gain: 4,593 ft. Mountain passes: Coll d’Alforja: 7.5 miles and average gradient of 3.14%. Approximate total time: 3.5 hours.

Salou – Prades

Circular route full of ups and downs that will take you to the Prades Mountains. As you gain altitude and on sunny days, you can enjoy views of the Mediterranean Sea.

The hardest mountain pass is Mussara, with gradients of 8% and 9%.

68 miles. Cumulative elevation gain: 6,020 ft. Three mountain passes, two of which with an average gradient of 4% and the Mussara pass of 7% over 6.8 miles. Approximate total time: 4.5 hours.
